In Memoriam - Charlie Chow (Yui Chung)
Charlie (Yui Chung) passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2008 at the McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge. He courageously fought a very unexpected and brief battle with liver cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Asiah, whom he met in New Zealand - they continued their adventures to Fiji, settling in Canada in 1976, and through travels around the world. He will be deeply cherished and fondly remembered by his loving children Lisa and her husband Brian, Anita and Daniel; also by his sister Rosey, brother Yushun and his wife Evelyn (nephews Eric and his wife Vanessa, and Brian), elder sister (and her family in Hong Kong), and extended family in Malaysia. He will be missed by good friends Michael and Val Chan, Dave and Myrna Wilson, and all those dear from around the world. Charlie was an established professional structural engineer in BC since 1978, and enjoyed working in the industry through his company MY2 Structural Designs, and when he owned Precision Truss for 10 years. He created many great personal and professional relationships over the years, and will be remembered fondly by all. He loved to play golf (especially with James and Ron), to journeys throughout the world (normally wherever his children were), and enjoying the simple things in life like his weekly walk (rain or shine) around Stanley Park. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for all the love and support that has been extended over the past few weeks from all around the world.
